Contribution Rates
Before 1 April 2008, the standard contribution rate was 6% for all employees except a few protected manual workers who paid 5%. From 1 April 2008 the rate payable depends on earnings. These earnings are deemed to be the whole time equivalent unless you work term-time. For term-time employees the whole time rate is scaled down by the number of weeks worked. Contribution rates applicable from time to time are shown below.
Nomination of Beneficiary
You may wish to nominate someone to receive any Death Grant payable in the event of your death. Please refer to the section Forms for further information.
Nomination of Cohabiting Partner
You may wish to nominate your partner to receive a dependant's pension in the event of your death. Please refer to the section Forms for further information.
