How to activate your account

  • You can also print out the pictorial guide if you prefer.
     
  • Go to the my pension portal home page.
     
  • Select the first option - access my pension portal. It is the first option.

  • Select the 'received my activation code' option. It is the last one. You may need to scroll down the page to see these buttons.
     
  • Complete all four boxes (surname, NI number, date of birth and activation code). Please note: the activation code is case-sensitive. Please enter it as shown in your notification letter.
     
  • Select the continue button.

  • Complete the registration page
     
    • username

      • must start with a letter which can be upper or lower case
         
      • apart from the first character, it can have any alphanumeric characters
         
      • it must not have any spaces
         
      • it must be between 6 and 30 characters
         
    • password
       
      • must be at least 8 characters

      • must include at least one number, one lower case, one upper case and one special character

      • is case sensitive

      • must be different from lifestyle or security question responses
         
      • mustn’t have spaces
         
  • When all boxes have been filled in, select the register button.

  • Once you have registered, you will see a message confirming your new account has been created and you may log in.

Logging in

  • Go to the my pension portal home page.
     
  • Select the first option - access my pension portal.
     
  • Select the 'log into my pension (existing user)' option. It is the first one.

  • Enter your username and password.
